I was convicted of Receiving and Conceling stolen property MCL 750.5353A in 2004. In Michigan I could or will be denied my mechanic certificate. Do I have any options that would allow me to go back to work as a mechanic?
I think it would be a good idea to talk to a friend or family member that is a lawyer. This sounds like a situation in which you could work again, but you need to go through the proper procedure in order to do so. I'm sorry I can't help you more, because I'm not from Michigan... but if you don't have someone close to you who is a lawyer, I would think that hiring one might be worth it for you. Good luck.
