Greetings Deborah:  Michael actually has two sisters older than he, La Toya and Maureen, (known as Rebbie).  I think your question most likely pertains to Rebbie who is also the first born.  

Her "not in the family business at all" is far from the truth.  Rebbie started as a backup singer in 1976.  In 1984, she had her own hit single entitled "Centipede." Since that time she has released four albums. 

Rebbie is married to Nathaniel Brown and they have three children, Stacee, Yashi, and Austin.  Consequently, their children are all singers as well.  Shadowed due to Michael's overwhelming success, however, the Jackson family is quite talented!

Joh'Vonnie is Joe's daughter with Cheryl Terrell.  She is Michael's "younger" half sister.  Rebbie was in the rear behind Paris.

Seldom do I mention we are close family friends with the Jacksons.  People can't seem to handle the concept, immediately one is called a liar, nut, etc.  Your response assumed we were just fans.  True, we are that as well too.

There is much misinformation regarding the Jacksons Deborah, it's quite sad actually.  I have typed a few posts regarding the Jacksons since Michael's passing  attempting to clarify inaccurate information.  As I told most, believe it or not, the Jacksons get on the Internet, (same as we do), and they may, or may not see some of the hateful things written, again quite sad.

Hi Deborah:  Hope you are having a nice day.  The memorial was beautiful.  It was very hard on family and friends as well.  I don't know if you noticed or not, however, Smokey Robinson and Lionel Richie had a difficult time, although both spoke beautifully!  Smokey's face during "We are the World" says it all, he is having a very difficult time with it.  I was surprised it was so difficult for Brooke, she and Michael didn't have much contact over the last several years. 

I will have to go back through the video and check hats to ensure I am informing you properly.  Rebbie was behind Paris, but I guess it depends which side you're viewing from, toward television or audience.  I don't plan on watching it for several days though, is just too terribly sad.

I agree your Mother did well.  It was quite nice of you to reply with a thank you.  The majority clearly don't and it's a bit frustrating to anyone taking their time to answer a question.

When Rebbie's mother became a Jehovah's Witness in 1965, she followed her into her faith and she is the only one child of Katherine who is still is a Jehovah's Witness today. In 1994 Stacee and Yashi formed a group originally called the X-Girls (now known as Geneva) with actress Lark Voorhies. She attended Michael's funeral.
