Thanks for the reply. 

Actually our 3 copiers were in the Danka emeter program.  We still get a quarterly email to reply to to report the copy count on one of the machines, but simply stopped receiving the emails on the other 2.

 I was afraid there was a glitch so I called customer service.  The 1st person I talked to said the 2 machines were part of the Meter Read Embargo Progect, but wouldn't tell me what that meant.  When I wanted an explanation, they asked if I wanted to talk to a supervisor.  I guess my real question was why frontline customer service isn't authorized to just say "we don't need meter reads on your copiers anymore".

Which I suppose is really a rhetorical question.  Sorry for the vent!
