Where can melting metal on dried clothing come from in the clothes dryer?
Melted metal on dried clothing, does not sound normal at all. I have absolutely no idea where it may be coming from, but if this is happening quite often, I would call in somebody, to look at your machine, as soon as possible.

I now think the plumber had used my towels and some of the solder was on them when I washed and dried them.
