I’ve messed up an interview. What can I do?
Don't sweat the petty things and don't pet the sweaty things.
You obviously want the job and you were probably really nervous. What I would do is call the company back and try to speak to the person who interviewed you and explain to him/her exactly what happened and ask for a second chance to be interviewed. You have absolutely nothing to loose and the person who interviewed you would probably be impressed that you called back and were so straight forward. Let us know when you get the job.
If it's funny, laugh. If it isn't funny, laugh anyway!
Why do you think you messed up? Try not to second guess yourself, we all make mistakes and a good human resourses person knows that and will grade you on sincerity, not on a mistake. Good luck to you!

I have done many interviews , seen what some may consider errors along with seeing some genuine errors . George is correct , I take in to consideration that the person is nervous . I try and look deeper in to the person , seek out the true personality , their character and yes their sincerity . I have also been known to grant a second interview . Let those who are without error cast the first stone . Good Luck to you .
