On Thursday (4/3) a new version of webmail was released. A primary goal for this new webmail version was to increase performance speed. With this goal of providing a faster performing product for all, certain difficult trade offs in regard to the technical implementation had to be made. As such, the difficult decision to remove the “Unsend” and “Status” features were part of those trade offs.
While it was understood that some users would be inconvenienced, if not down right upset, by this decision the hope was that a better overall performing product for all will have been delivered. You can see what else was new with this webmail release by going to mailblog.aol.com.
However, please be aware that the “Unsend” and “Status” features are still available in our integrated clients (e.g., AOL 9.1 and AOL Desktop).
