How large of an attachment can I send? When I have more than one attachment do I need to split them up into different emails?
The total megabytes for an email can not exceed 16MB. Taking into consideration the size of the message and all its components (e.g., header, body, encoded attachments, etc) that leaves an effective size of around 12MB for any attachments.
The current Beta version of webmail enables attachments up to 5 GB via XDrive. See http://www.mailblog.aol.com for details.
AOL's standard attachment limit is 16 MB, but your recipient's ISP may impost a lower limit (2 MB is common) so check first. AOL allows beta testers to send attachments up to 5 GB when sent via XDrive. See http://journals.aol.com/websuiteblog/productinsider/ for details.
