Material and parts needed for a humidor,

Im building a cigar box out of oak wood. What parts doI need to add to it to make it a humidor?

Sounds like you have finished crafting your box there aren't many parts you need to add. It really depends on how much you are willing to pay .

The most important one is a digital thermometer/hygrometer.

Other parts you need are:

Propelyne Glycol- you get at any pharmacy.

Florist's oasis -you can get in an arts and crafts shop.

Good for you...it's a labor of love and something that he will always cherish. In reference to using propylene glycol, please remember that you should only use it once every 2 to 3 months. In between only used distilled water. Using the humidor solution too much will render the humidifier useless as it builds up and does not let the humidity dissipate from the sponge or floral oasis.
