A Master Bath that is not so masterful and a living/dining/family room MESH!

Hi Kelly,

I purchased a home built in the 1960's that was owned by a handicap couple and I have 2 problems that I wanted to ask you about.

1.  The Master Bedroom's Shower and bathroom are literally open to the master bedroom itself.  The shower door swings OUT into the master bedroom floor and the sink and toilet are right beside it but there is not any privacy.  There are bi-fold shutter doors on the area that houses the sink and toilet and it is literally smaller than a walk in closet.  Is there any hope for this space?

2.  The living room/diningroom/family room have been opened up and they all mesh into each other and I am having a hard time figuring out how to decorate this room.  The living/family room run together from the front to the back of the house and the dining area is in a little space off  tied into what used to be the living room.  The other problem with this space is that the family room has true hard wood paneling and I am not sure how I can decorate the space to make it brighter and tie in with the rest of the house.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
