Martial sports

A few days ago, when zapping the TV channels, I saw some kind of martial sports that looked incredibly brutal. Are there sports legal all over the world? How are they governed?

Mixed martial arts aren't allowed everywhere.  But more and more places are allowing it ... and regulating it.  You can read more about United States regulations in a recent

report by Hawaii's state auditor.

2 thumbs up

Mixed martial arts are not overly brutal. It is the ultimate chessmate between grappling, striking, and jui-jitsu. Injuries are much less than boxing.

Mixed martial arts will outpace Boxing, golf, hockey, tennis, and NASCAR in 5 years. Just watch

Congressman Brad Sherman: Martial Law if We...

October 2, 2008, U.S. House of Representatives. Congressman Brad Sherman [D-CA] asks: "But why are we bailing out the Bank of China? Why are we bailing out the Saudi royal family?... The only way they can pass this bill is by creating and by sustaining a panic atmosphere... A few Members were even told that there would be martial law in America if we voted ``no.'' ________________________________________ Congressman Brad Sherman: Martial Law if We Voted No [1] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6KRXnYgu5I Congressman Brad Sherman: Martial Law if We Voted No [2] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55lOhYw8Lxk Congressman Brad Sherman: Martial Law if We Voted No [3] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHFUa4SpPBU Alex Jones interviews Brad Sherman http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egXhZMaY26w Sherman's Blue Paper on the Bailout http://bradsherman.house.gov/081001comprehensive_article.pdf 171 Heroes vs 263 Traitors http://www.govtrack.us/congress/vote.xpd?vote=h2008-681 Paul Craig Roberts: It takes the trouble off the banks and puts it on the taxpayers http://youtube.com/watch?v=PLbWau3rsag&NR=1 ________________________________________ TRANSCRIPT We are told in 2009 we are going to pass really good legislation to make sure that this never happens again--corporate governance reform, regulatory reform, we are going to get it done. What is really going to happen? We may write a really good bill in the House, something Wall Street really hates. Then it goes over to the Senate where 41 Senators out of 100 is all it takes to block it. I don't think they will defeat reform legislation in the Senate. They will delay it and then they will dilute it. And by the time it passes, it will be so diluted, Wall Street will drink it down with a smile on its face knowing that no effective reform is really being imposed upon them. So we are not going to see meaningful regulatory reform; although we will pass something and Wall Street will tell you it is a big deal. We will see million-dollar-a-month salaries, or one-and-a-half million or $2 million a month salaries paid to the executives of these firms while they are getting a bailout with our taxpayer money. We are going to see a very large percentage of this money going to buy securities, bad paper, and toxic assets currently in safes in Shanghai, Beijing, London and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. We will see all of the power in the hands of the Bush administration and in the hands of a part-time temporary administrator, namely the Secretary of the Treasury. Under this bill, if it passes, we don't really know what is going to happen to the economy. No one knows. The only thing that is certain, two things: Wall Street executives are going to get huge amounts of money and our children and grandchildren are going to get stuck with hundreds of billions of dollars of additional Federal debt. And we as a country, having just done a bad $700 billion program, will not be able to do anything to help homeowners because we won't have the money. We won't be able to bail out local governments because we won't have the money. We won't be able to deal effectively with the real banking-lending crisis because we will have shot our entire wad on a bill that is guaranteed only to do one thing, and that is to help the truly wealthy on Wall Street. My time has expired, and I look forward to the Speaker giving unanimous consent to the gentlelady from Ohio controlling the next hour. CLICK to watch 75 SECONDS ! : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SC0YwcnQNtY LAS VEGAS, Nevada (CNN) -- Former gridiron great O.J. Simpson was found guilty Friday of all 12 counts in the armed robbery of two sports memorabilia dealers at a Las Vegas, Nevada, casino hotel last year. Simpson, 61, and his co-defendant Clarence "C.J." Stewart, 54, were charged with a dozen offenses stemming from the sports memorabilia heist. Stewart was found guilty of the same charges as Simpson. Simpson sat quietly and showed little emotion at the defense table as courtroom clerk Sandra Jeter read the verdicts. After the verdicts were read, deputies immediately handcuffed Simpson and led him out of the courtroom. According to the Associated Press, Carmelita Durio, Simpson's sister, sobbed as he was being escorted out of the courtroom. As spectators left the courtroom, Durio collapsed and paramedics were called, court spokesman Michael Sommermeyer said. Simpson and Stewart could spend the rest of their lives in prison for these convictions. Clark County District Judge Jackie Glass set sentencing for December 5. Simpson arrived at the Clark County Justice Center at around 10:50 p.m. (1:50 a.m. Saturday ET). Simpson told CNN's Ted Rowlands on the phone before the verdict was read that he was "apprehensive." The jury of nine men and three women, none of them African-American, reached its verdict after 13 hours of deliberations Friday. Jurors heard from 22 witnesses over 12 days of testimony. Chief among the witnesses were seven of the nine people inside Room 1203 of the Palace Station Hotel and Casino for the September 13, 2007, confrontation. The evidence included testimony from the two dealers, four co-defendants who cut plea deals and cooperated with prosecutors, and hours of often-profane, crackling, secretly recorded audiotapes. Prosecutors alleged that the men, led by Simpson, burst into the room, flashed a gun and threatened memorabilia dealers Bruce Fromong and Al Beardsley. The men then filled two pillowcases with Simpson trinkets, signed Pete Rose baseballs and Joe Montana lithographs. Simpson's defense attorneys maintained their client was merely trying to retrieve personal photographs and other mementos that belonged to him. Neither Simpson nor Stewart testified during the trial. Instead, their attorneys savaged the motives of the other witnesses. Simpson's lawyer, Yale Galanter, said Simpson was a target of investigators from the very beginning. The case "has taken on a life of its own because of Mr. Simpson's involvement," he added. "Every cooperator, every person who had a gun, every person who had an ulterior motive, every person who signed a book deal, every person who got paid money, the police, the district attorney's office is only interested in one thing: Mr. Simpson," Galanter said. Stewart was characterized by his lawyer, E. Brent Bryson, as the trial's forgotten player. The most compelling evidence for all sides came from the audiotapes. http://www.cnn.com/2008/CRIME/10/04/oj.simpson.verdict/index.html [ OCTOBER 3, 2008 ]

Army in america on 1 october 2008 ...

Army Unit to Deploy in October for Domestic Operations (martial law coming after economic collapse and/or coming attack on Iran?) Beginning in October, the Army plans to station an active unit inside the United States for the first time to serve as an on-call federal response in times of emergency. The 3rd Infantry Divisions 1st Brigade Combat Team has spent thirty-five of the last sixty months in Iraq, but now the unit is training for domestic operations. The unit will soon be under the day-to-day control of US Army North, the Army service component of Northern Command. The Army Times reports this new mission marks the first time an active unit has been given a dedicated assignment to Northern Command. The paper says the Army unit may be called upon to help with civil unrest and crowd control. The soldiers are learning to use so-called nonlethal weapons designed to subdue unruly or dangerous individuals and crowds. FREE DOWNLOAD!!!!!!!!!!
