Is it common for a wife to choose a best friend ...

Is it common for a wife to choose a best friend over her spouse?  It seems that my wife would rather take her best friend to a doctor's appointment instead of me.  The day before she said that she would be home at a certain time and showed up almost 5 hours later just to change clothes and be gone for almost another 2 hours.  Her best friend has anxiety problems and so does my wife, but why can't I be the one to be able to go with her to places like the doctor's office?

Love is the battery of life....

Hi,
I couldn't understand if her best friend is a male or a female.  If it is a female the reason could simply be that she feels, for obvious reasons, more comfortable (in fron of the doctor) with her.  But if her best friend ia a male than you are in a serious problem.  No offence, please, but from your question [the way you put it] I can feel that you are not able to attend to it by yourself sao better get [preferably both of you] to a marriage counseling.  I bet that your relations are "not so good" (understatement) and I bet that sex is close to zero......
Best regards,

Her best friend is a female.  Her best friend's husband gets mad because they take off for long periods of time and both of us husbands get left at home.  This goes on more frequently than we would like.  It was suppose to be only one day a week, but now seems like almost daily.
