there are literally dozens of sites which will provide you general market analysis and most of this analysis is free. the second part of your question "EFFECTIVE" is a bit more problematic. I find the majority of news information lervices are a day late and a dollar short. I believe you will find much more success in understanding the technical dynamics of the market or specific stocks which can be determined via STOCKFETCHER and I suggest you explore this arena. The vast majority of market advice you will obtain will not be effective and you will be better off to investigate various free web sites and determine what dynamics will ultimately drive your investment desires. there ain't no free lunches, put in the time and effort to learn how to determine market or stock trends and you will become a happy camper. some sites to explore are, schaeffer research, nasdaq, barcharts, yahoo finance etc, etc.put in your time for personal research and you will have no one but yoursself to blame for succcess or failure......good luck...Dean
