I remember some story about Mark Spitz moustache had something to do with his amazing seven gold medal record in the 1972 summer Olympics in Munich.
I'm not certain, but I think there were claims saying that the mustache gave Spitz some sort of aerodynamic advantage. I don't know if that's true, or just a myth.
