does he live with you? Is he in his own place? Or did he return to a new place.  I know the war is bad on our boys over there but I can tell you some things that might help.  I'm not a ghost hunter or even a believer of ghost but I do know that when people pass they leave strong energy here.  Tell your Grandson to buy some sage.  Not chopped in a jar but real sage on a stalk (called smudge sticks http://healing.about.com/od/smudging/Smudge_Sticks_and_Smudging.htm )and let it dry and then light it and walk into every room of his house with the burning sage and say protect this house and everyone in it.  The indians used to do this to rid of evil spirits.  make sure he goes to ever corner of the house and in each room.  Also tell him to buy a large container of salt and put a salt line completely around his house.  I don't know if all this works but if it will help to put him at ease it's worth a try.  I don't have ghost in my house but I do have sage growing that I planted in my yard and I dried some and burned it in my house just because.  Maybe its good for something besides stuffing and chicken.  I don't know if it will help him.  If it doesn't then maybe he should move.  He has been through too much in the war to try to go up against the spirit world and fight.  As I said I don't believe and I don't disbelieve. I know what is not real to some can be real to others. I also was raised in church even though now I am agnostic but our confession of faith ended I believe in the the Father and son and the holy ghost.  So who knows?

He lived there before the war? Or did she move into a new home after he left? If he lived there before the war then I would say it's post tramatic syndrone.  If not then it could be the house.

as I walk this land of broken dreams.... I had visions of many things.....but HAPPINESS is just an ILLUSION filled with SADNESS and CONFUSION

probably your grandson and his friend are persons that the ghosts are attracted and perhaps you can consult some people who are expierienced or an expert when it comes to the paranormal sightings or paranormal beings. And probably your place is haunted, if that is the case, (if you are christians) you should have a house blessings, contact your local preist (anbd P.S. this is all that I know, please do a more further research)
