Manual Exposure Digital Camera Recommendations?

Can anyone recommend a cheap pocket digital camera with full manual exposure control and a wireless remote control? It doesn't need more than about 3-megapixel resolution. I'm guessing it will be three or four years out of date. (For some reason the manufacturers all stopped including remote control functionality around 2004.)

Hi mikez ,

Interesting question.

I recall back from 2002 or 2003 the Toshiba PDR-M700. it has all the features you mentioned and considered as a reliable camera.

Check http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/compare.asp and select the drop-down menu for shutter priority to select Yes (I think that will let you choose manual exposure). You will get a list of cameras after clicking compare at the bottom. Select as per your choice.

Try any of the Minox range of digital cameras. Back in the days of analog Minox were well known for making very small fully manual cameras with great lenses. They have continued that trend with their digital range. Look at the MINOX DC 6311 and here's their website: http://www.minox.com

you may check the Canon S70/80. i know that the S70 have a wireless remote-control option. i am not sure about the S80.

unfortunly, this cameras ain't cheap. they cost about 2000 NIS, so i suggest you to search an used S70/80.

in a different from the s 80, the S70 use a RAW files and they both have Manual controls and wide-angel lens
