Maltese has 8 canine teeth

my 9 month maltese has gotten in all 4 of her adult canine teeth. but her baby ones have not fallen out. Doesn't seem to bother her. Should I just wait (the bottom ones are behind the baby ones, tops have pushed baby ones back) or should I take her to the vet?

My advice, would be to call the vet, and run this by them, on the phone. They should either tell you if you should wait it out for awhile, or if you should bring her in, to get the baby teeth removed. If ever I am concerned about anything, regarding my dog or cats, I will always call my vet, as I feel that they are the most qualified, to give me the best advice.

I have a maltese that also had a double set of some teeth. My Vet said he did not play "tug" enough as a puppy. I eventually had 7 pulled as a result and he is fine. Tiny dogs have a propensity to early tooth decay so have the extras removed and clean their teeth them often. good luck!
