Males/ Females Recieving Hormone Replacement Therapy

I understand  that  Males /Females recieving hormone replacement therapy are  at  a  high risk  of  developing  "Deep Vein Thrombosis" If you  mix  hormone replacement therapy  with cigarette  smoking , I  am  a former smoker  And  just found  this  information  the  other night while surfering the web, Does anyone know anything about  this?

I'm not sure,however when I went on this form of therapy after prostate cancer surgury I do remember my doctor making a point of asking if i smoke or not.I will say this it probably is bad,when you see the ads for birth control which is just another form of this,all they do is stress NO Smoking.   Hope this helps.If your dealing with prostate cancer and have questions just ask.

I think mixing most anything with cigarette smoking is not going to be positive in the long run.  I know people who have done bio-identical hormone therapy and they have done alright with no symptoms of deep vein thrombosis
