Making friends+nervousness

Why don't you start by just waving at her when you see her. Then maybe she will follow you friendly gesture by coming over to speak to you. I bet if she ever asks you one question, you will be talking to her as freely as you can possibly do. You have to think that she may be as nervous as you are and it will be a draw untill someone makes the first move. If you have seen her riding her bicycle before, ask her if she would like to ride up to your favorite place.(think up one if you don't have one). I bet she will jump at the chance to ride along with you.Girls don't bite any quicker than boys do, so go on and make the first move. Try it, you might like it.

It is okay to be nervous, but try not to let it overtake you to the point of paralysis.

Do as A. Brown suggests. Wave or say hi. The first step in meeting any new person is to let them know that the door is open for friendship.

If she doesn't respond the first time, wave again the next time you see her. And the next, and the next, and the next.

Perhaps you will never get to be BFF's, but you might at least make a new casual friend out of her.

You'll never know unless you explore your opportunities.
