Why should Madonna be in Rock & Roll Hall of Fame?

There are a lot of artist in the rock and roll hall of fame that are not rock and roll, maybe they should change the name. Madonna may be the most pop artist that they have ever inducted, but as long as being rock and roll is not a part of the criteria then it makes sense, she deserves all of the accolades she can get. I think she is fantastic, and love her or hate her you've got to acknoledge her accomplishments in the music industry, were talking about over 30 years of solid success.

Madonna is never rock,

She was and still is very influential, and I think the in the last two decades you can hardly find people who haven't heard of her or of her music.

She definitely deserves a spot there, even if I'm not a personal fan of her stuff.  

I agree with Helmet, and HEYNOW - I tend to like more hardcore; but you can't deny her success as a singer, and performer. Most of her music is catchy; whether you want to hum it, or not. She is contraversial - As most everyone that I admire is. And, she does use her success in ways that benefit others. Like her, or not; you have to appreciate her, or you're lying to yourself.

I am more towards Megadeth, Dream Theater, Buddy Guy, Tora Tora, NWA, SSSC.
