Why wait until tomorrow to do what you could be doing today?
Do you think Madoff's going to jail is enough punishment?
What are your thoughts?
Is there a way to recover the monies he stole? Should his family, assuming they really didn't know about his criminal activities, be held financially responsible?
Aske him if the money is still hidden somewhere and try to get him to talk ans yes he should do jail time.
I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.
There is no way that his punishment fits the crimes that he committed. Our legal system is so screwed up that just because he pleaded guilty as charged without any kind of deal with prosecutors, he is under no obligation to cooperate with them. It's no wonder that he wore a bulletproof vest to court.
The whole Madoff family has lived high on the hog and now I believe they should be stripped of everything they own. It was bought with stolen money and life in jail isn't to harsh, then justice will be served. ALL INVOLVED SHOULD HAVE THIS DONE!!!!! They didn't care about the people they hurt or took from so they should have nothing see what it feels like to have everthing you worked hard for taken away, !
Love your life.
I want to know why Madoff's wife is continuing to live off of stolen money! Why hasn't the court taken everything from them? There's no way she didn't know about his scheme! You cannot live that kind of lifestyle and not wonder where the money is coming from! It is so frustrating to see that even though Madoff might be in jail, his family is still living the grand life off of what he stole! This whole situation makes me so angry!
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.
Thankfully I didn't invest what little money I have with anyone connected to him. But I feel for the people who lost nearly everything from his greediness. I agree with tul2007tul that his family could not have lived such a grand lifestyle without ultimately knowing where the money was coming from. The SEC should confiscate EVERYTHING that family has accumulated in the last 35 years (houses, NYC lofts, jewelry, cars, etc.) and begin to pay back everyone that was ripped off. Every dollar his wife and he make until they die should be used to pay off the innocent people who became pawns in his scheme. He's a sad excuse for a person and deserves much more than the legal system is punishing him with.
Love Never Fails
This guy is an idiot!
Our Constitution is a document in which "We the People" tell the government what it is allowed to do.Ronald Reagan in his farewell speech 1989
I do not understand people!...Some black guy uses a gun to rob a liquor store of #50 dollars and the cry goes out when he is sentenced to 10 years in jail…”It is only money!” they say and want to let him go…Now this Madoff character dreams up a scheme to rob people of billions and they would like to hang him!...Is the amount of money the difference?…How about the fact that the thug would have shot someone dead to get the $50 and Madoff only played to the greed of the investors…He was promising much higher than normal returns on the investments…That is the only reason these greedy folks gave him (no gun involved) their hard earned money….................... .......................... I am not saying that he should not be punished; far from it I think he should be put away for life and all of his assets taken, but what about the greed of the investors?...Doesn’t that count for something, too?
the legal system should of course take all who benefited straight to jail, sell their stolen belongings and fry his ass.
