Lying under oath

Should not every member of the Federal Government be procecuted for lying under oath when they were sworn into office?

In a court of law if someone lies after taking an oath to tell to the truth.  They are prosecuted.  In Congress if a person is testifying to congress under oath  and is not truthful they are prosecuted.

Why then when Congresman, the President and Vice President, etc take an oath before the American People (the people they work for) and knowingly pass laws and take actions that goes against their oath, are they not prosecuted?   To make a point, Missouri Senator Maccskill when asked if the health bill was unconstitutional replied, "who cares, everything we do up here is unconstitutional" and thought it was funny.  Obama had no intention of upholding the constitution.  He lied from day 1.

Dear Phil, As with all elected Governmental people they are immune to prosecution under the Constitution of the United States. In only a few instances has a Congressman or Senator prosecuted under the laws of this Nation. However, the lie must be so blatent that it affects the very structure of their constituancy. Although I agree with you that when an elected official lies they should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, unfortunately that does not seem to work. I do want to tell you that I totally agree with you and you ideas of prosecuting wayward elected officals as they are supposed to be a shinning light in the darkness of the night, but, unfortunately for us the laws don't necessarily work. Cool Equal justice for All

The law works but the system needs changed, We all abide by the law but sometime it failes us. The same with the goverment. God bless the USA, Brign our troops HOME safely, To the men who did not get the credit they deserve, MAY GOD WATCH OVER OUR SERVICE MEN.

You have to be a lier to be in the goverment then you must learn to cheet and steal. And yes if the KING HUSSANE had not lied he would have never been elected President as we look at it being from KENYA and born there and was knoen before he was elected to the senate that he was not an American. Does that make him better than us no but he got by with it so why do we have to follow the law???? as he and the rest of them lie and cheet but they get by with it as they are exempt from the laws. If the KING can get his way he will rewrite our CONSTITUTION to meet his needs not the AMERICAN PEOPLE. He is every thing this country is against like his health care bill which is MEDICADE not a health crare plan it is lax at its coverage you only get the basics. And it will raise taxes on all of us even down to the small businessman who will be required to pay for health care. Then you and i will be fined if we dont get GOVERMENT HEALTH CARE as our choices we dont have any but you will have to. That is why we have no way out of this war but he chooses to send in more men to fight as this is anouther VIETNAM WAR it cannot be won. Yes lets send the KING to the front lines and let him fight this war for us as he has never served a day in the service. As his wife MICHELLE stated that WAL-MART colthing was good at the time but look at her now then we have her mother who said she would not change her life style eather but how they lie as the maids and butlers wait on them hand and foot this is the change he was talking about. Not a change for the country that we all hoped for is this fair to any of us. As he forgets the issues faceing this country not just health care but Unemployment,Senior Citizens, and yes the economey is it better off than it was no. Now we have CHINA owning more of the USA than we do but this is only he beginning of things to come then the GOVERMENT MOTORS (GM) being sold to china along with the HUMMER as it is used to fight this war with. If this is our choice i dont want any part of it as we get closer to a goverment controlled country like Cuba or Russia is this what we want ??????? not me or you. Yes he pulled the wool over our eyes but we all have to be together on this to get him out of our WHITE HOUSE we own it he he dont but he thinks he does.
