Low disk space error

I hardly have anything on my hard drive, yet my computer keeps saying low disk space. The largest thing I have on there is Microsoft Office which is like 492.00 MB. What could possibly be taking up all the hard drive? I only had 256 MG RAM and updated to 1024 MG RAM. Please assist if you can.

I have a sony vaio. I had the same problem . When I checked the space(properties) on my C then D drive I discovered that" from the factory" the backup windows system that should have been put on the D drive was on the C drive. This meant that everything preinstalled on my computer was on the C drive. At this point the warranty was out so I had to put all of my stuff on an external drive and remove everything from my computer and partition off the drives as they should have been in the beginning. This fixed the problem. Hope this helps.

A lot of times when you are having a problem with low disk space, it is your virtual memory.  Sometimes this setting needs to be changed, let me know if you are still getting the error message and I will email you back on how to fix the problem

Recording wave output whith audacity

Audacity has a cool feature of recording the wave output. I had noticed that this feature only works on laptops, why is that ?
