Is naan bread always made with lots of butter?
Isn't there a low calories recipe I can make?
I want to make a traditional meal, but I don't want it to turn into a dietary disaster.
None of the naan recipes I have call for butter at all. They use yoghurt as the fat to create the tenderness. And it works okay with a lower fat yoghurt... though not with no fat.
"Butter naan", as the restaurants here call it, are just slathered in butter after the naan comes out of the tandoor/oven/bbq.
