First Love - New Love?

I have been divorced (29 yr marriage) for over a year and have reconnected with my first love from 35 years ago (He also has been divorced about a year). We live about 800 miles apart and now speak once a week on the phone. He visited about 2 months ago and all went very well. I felt many old feelings were rekindled - but don't know if he feels the same. I know he's dating other people in his area and I am also dating. I haven't found anyone who really intersts me other than him - what can I do? How do I find out his true feelings for me without pressuring him?

Hi,
I believe that if one wants something one has to be pro-active.... if you just wait and hope you'll probably wait a long time..... so better discuss it with him..... Be smart and sensetive in choosing your words, prepare how and what you are going to say in advance, and tell him exactly how you feel and what you want..... make it in a nice friendly way without making him feel "forced" or under some pressure..... Both of you are not kids any more and should be able to have an open deep serious discussion. The other option is to send someone (you trust) to do the job 4U..... (not recommended !, a direct personal brave approach is by fear better).

Live simply, love generously and care deeply.

Hi,

I think that you need to write him a letter, let him know how you feel towards him, tell him that you're also dating others but thinks that you care about him and you love him. Then you will see where you stand with him he will let you know and hopefully he feels the same way. Whatever he tells you will guide you on your next step. If it's not a favorable response, then the only thing to do is to move on with your life. I hope you'll find the man that you will be happy with.
