Love is the battery of life....

Hi,

I know you'll not like my answer but still: Yes you can loose 10 pounds within a week.  There are many diets to do so.  You are going to suffer as well.  Anyhow, it is both not healthy and (95% sure) it won't last long.... and you'll return to your initial weight (and frequently even more....) .
So better go the other way round:
1.  Adopt a healthy life style (some sport, healthy food,
     regular meals, normal quntities).
2.  Your target will be reasonabe: only some 1-2 pounds
a week.  But you'll commit yourself for many weeks....
3.  Learn to say "No tnx" to unessary food.
4.  Give yourself a reward every week when yor weight
     goes down as planned.
5.  Put some money aside, after several months you'll
have to buy smaller size cloths.....
That's the only way to loose weight without having it back.... and you don't suffer.....
I wish you the best of luck, and please tell me if it worked 4U in April 2008 OK ?  I am sure it will if you follow those very simple instructions.

Great information on health, diet, and exercise: www.mattmetzgar.com

You can't.  Technically, the fastest way to lose weight is to get sick, though I doubt this is what you want.  Or you could go on a dramatic fast and lose a lot of water weight (which will eventually come back).

If you are 10 pounds overweight, you most likely didn't gain this 10 pounds over the course of a week.  You won't be able to lose it in a week either.  Tkae your time, exercise, and eat right.

Go on the Sacred Heart Memorial Hospital diet.  I went from 130 lbs to 123 in 3 days flat.  The reason it works is b/c you reduce the amount of calories you ingest considerably.  Although it is likely you'll gain the weight back after it's over if you go back to the way you were eating before with no changes, I have kept it off and lost another 5 lbs. from working out and eating well..  The diet consists mainly of eating fruits and vegetables (soup form), and you'll undoubtedly start craving carbs by the 3rd day or so, but it works!

10 pounds in 1 week sounds too drastic.

Just plan small goals to lose weight gradually, say 3-5 pounds a month.  Start small till you know what your own ability and determination.  Thereafter increase it in steps.  This is long term and you'll stand to gain more.

The last thing you want is to lose 10 pounds in 1 week, and then fail.  You'll lose motivation.

Plan to eat healthy, and exercise regularly.
