Longest song

What's the longest song by a rock or pop band/singer?  I imagine that someone has recorded a one-hour song.  But the longest song I know right now is Iron Butterfly's "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" (more than 17 minutes):

Chris Butler wrote "The Devil Glitch" which goes on for 69 minutes.

There are a few pretty lengthy songs. This is a very partial list:

Pink Floyd - Meddle - Echoes - 23:26
Arlo Guthrie -The Best Of Arlo Guthrie - Alice's Restaurant Massacree - 18:34
Pink Floyd - Animals - Dogs - 17:04
Cream - Wheels Of Fire (Disc 2) - Spoonful - 16:48
The Beatles - The Alternate Sgt. Pepper (Disc 1) - Strawberry Fields Forever - Demo - 16:35

I think the Grateful Dead have some over 40 minutes songs too, but couldn't find my album.

There is also Jethro Tull's Thick as a Brick the Album.  With the songs Thick as a Brick part 1 and part 2 together it is 43:50 minutes. It is really one song, I think they just broke it up for the tracks because when you play it there is no break in the continuity of the songs.

alot of "jam bands" play a song for hours at a time but every performance is different
