I think this is something that is great.  It allows people to die with dignity.  I am a nurse and I have seen the suffering that comes along with a terminal disease.  We put our animals down when they are suffering, but we sit back and watch as loved ones die in pain.  I think this is a very humane way to go peacefully.

I think a person that is terminally ill, should have the right to say when they want to leave this world. That is what I would want for myself it is was to happen.

God gives life and allows it to be ended and if a physician takes an oath to preserve life he should never take part in ending anyones....suffering may be part of his plan for our lives ending...not for all,,,but for some....not good to have a conflict here!!!

As an RN, who wittnessed many tragic deaths; watched people linger for months and saw the devesting effects on families I support assisted suicide.  When a person is on a respirator, this measure is for the familly, so they may ajust to loosing their loved one.  Please do not permit your loved one to be hooked up to machines; please permit them to die in peace

I believe that people have a right to self-determination, meaning that it is no one else's right, the law or anyone else, to make that decision for a person who is still capable of knowing what is going on with their life. I feel that the law says exactly what it should be; the right to have dignity to die the way you want to. and Linda was obviously ready to accept death and that is her right. She was in pain and she was not having a good  quality of life, so therefore, she had a complete right to make an informed decision to die.

Liberilism is a form of mental illness!

Spread the wealth to people who won't work!

I am not familiar with all of the details in this case, but I have always supported the right to die with dignity. What good does it do to keep someone alive when you know they will die soon anyway. It prolongs the suffering and does no good. If I had a terminal desiese that was going to kill me in a matter of months or a year, I would want to go sooner and with dignity. Of course it should be done by a qualified doctor who knows what he or she is doing. It should never be botched.  The main thing is that the patient should be able to unequivically say that they want to go that way. If they are comatose, then thereshould have been a living will made beforehand.
