Another Lie Fom Obama...No New Taxes Read My Lips?

Here comes another change (I'm sorry, LIE) from Barack Obama!

To get the economy back on track, will President Barack Obama have to break his pledge not to raise taxes on 95 percent of Americans? In a “This Week” exclusive, Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner told me, "We’re going to have to do what’s necessary.”

Geithner was clear that he believes a key component of economic recovery is deficit reduction. When I gave him several opportunities to rule out a middle class tax hike, he wouldn’t do it.

“We have to bring these deficits down very dramatically,” Geithner told me. “And that’s going to require some very hard choices.”

“We will not get this economy back on track, recovery will be not strong and sustained, unless we convince the American people that we are going to have the will to bring these deficits down once recovery is firmly established,” he said.

While Geithner told me, “There are signs the recession is easing,” he warned that, “We have a ways to go.”

“I want to emphasize the basic reality that unemployment is very high in this country,” the secretary said. But, he underlined that the administration is “going to do what is necessary to bring growth back on track.”

Turning to the bank bailout, he told me it is “quite unlikely” that the U.S. Treasury will go back to Congress to ask for more funding for the financial rescue package.

"We do not plan to ask for more money and I think it’s quite unlikely that we do," Geithner said in his most blunt language to date on TARP funding. The secretary said that today the TARP has roughly $130 billion, in part due to more than $70 billion that has already come back into the government.

Geithner also strongly endorsed legislation currently pending in the House that would increase the power of the SEC and give shareholders more rights to vote on executive compensation. He insisted that Republican criticism that the government is overly involved in the financial system is unfounded.

"Everybody understands that we cannot have our financial system go back to the practices that brought this economy to the brink of collapse," he told me. "It is going to take fundamental reform."

I hope that everyone who voted for this imposter realize now that voting for ANYONE because he wasn't George Bush has it's consequences!

And, that handing over the treasury to this bunch of pseudo politicians to make their own private "Slush fund" to BUY votes and give to a criminal organizations like ACORN need to be curtailed NOW!

Bush was wrong and made MANY poor decisions, but next to Obama and his bunch of criminals ( and that is correct) even Bush was a better choice and that is really saying something!

Well, I heard the tax cheat also.  He pretty well confirmed what so many of us knew...increased taxes are on the way for all of us.  These thugs believe we are dumber than dirt and will follow them down the path to ruin.  Obama fooled a lot of people, but you can only fool us some of the time.  I know a lot of people who are beginning to wonder if they made a mistake in the voting booth.

The good news is PRESSURE<PRESSURE<PRESSURE everyday from folks like yourself who are going to be adversely affected by this Obamacare disaster, will slow the descent until we can regain control in FALL 2010. But NOW, NOW is the time to turn the HEAT up on the Democrats and OBAMA. Find out where your representatives and congressman are over the break and VOICE your OPINION! Tell them if they vote YES on healthcare you'll vote NO on them come 2010!

I have read the bill, my mother is 92 years old and vibrant! She will be a dead woman with this bill suffering until she would draw her last breath! I want that for NO senior citizen in America!

God Bless You!

Hi MRD, I contact my representative and congressmen as well as the President at least once a week.  I'm 72 and ready to die when God is ready for me to.  I've told the politicians how I feel and my vote will reflect how they respond to the Obama tactics.  I email, call their offices at home and in Washington.  Now with the Science Czar, he is for aborting children at 2 years of age and I don't believe in abortion at all.  So, they hear about that as well in separate messages.

God bless you and your Mom.  I'm as lucky as she is to have a son like you.  Thank God for sons.  ginger
