I've been on two dates with a cool guy. I need to avoid a third date but don't know how without being mean. I didn't feel sparks and am hung up on another guy.
OK 1. Is the guy you are hung up on, hung up on you?
2. Sparks are over-rated and tend to burn out rather quickly.
3. Go for the 3rd date with no expectations and see what happens.

ok here the deal if its fresh and you just met the guy he can get over it ,if its someone that knew you for a long time then try to be nice about it and act more as friends to him so he can see your not atracted that way to him he will move on just keep in mind that a connection isnt allways based off good looks its genuin feelings
It is hard for me to understand why it is so difficult to say goodbye after only two dates unless some commitment was made. In any event I think that honesty being the best policy you should just say that you can't see a future together with him and not through any fault of his but there is no chemistry.
