Lenovo T-60 power adapter tip incompatible with older IBM ThinkPad power adapters

I recently got a new IBM (actually, Lenovo) ThinkPad T60.

Before this one, I've used ThinkPad A11, T20, T21, T23, X30, X41... and quite naturally, I assumed that the T60 would continue the tradition and - like all previous model before it - use the same compatible power adapter tip.

However, it looks like Lenovo decided to change the power tip in the T60 to the Lenovo one... which of course is not compatible with the older IBM ones. Cry

Does anyone know of an adapter which will enable me to use my old pre-T60 IBM power adapters with the T60?

my image copyed from a web site, I checked mine, the old style should be 16V output, the New T60 is 20 output.

not only shape changed, it's totally changed.

Thanks for the info! But according to the picture, they both output 20V, so it's only the plug shape that's different... is there an adapter for the plug?

And yes, it's a good laptop, I am really happy with it (though I do miss the lightweightness of the X41...)

It's not working and I don't recommend you try any adapter.

BTW, the battery is also different, No S. Video and no parallel... (Comparing to the T43 which it replaced)

Another problem is that you have to remove the whole keyboard to replace memory.

More to come, the HD is SATA and not IDE anymore, so you can't use your old HD in the

That's it for now...

I can't find a iGo tip for T60. Don't think there is one yet.

iGo website doesn't list T60.
