is it legal for your attorney not to tell you of a lein on a uto accident settlement you are recieving? i am referring to a health plan provider you use to pay your bills during your injuries.

When dealing with attorney's the word you are looking for is ethical rather than legal, and I would think it's perfectly ethical for him to disclose this information to his client. Are you sure he was aware of it and chose not to inform you? I'm trying to imagine how it would be in the best interest of both parties for him not to inform you.

This is normal procedure for a health company--they recoup any costs they may have paid from your settlement and it is perfectly legal.
