Lcd on mantle good or bad?

I am going to buy a new LCD TV for my new house and want to put on my mantle over my fireplace. is that a good idea or not some people say yes and some say no what do you think??? and none of that it would be at a bad angle my mantle is kinda of low and would be a good angle. thanks

Keep  your tv away from sunlight and most important keep away from heat(fireplace)
