It is reported that Lasik, All-Laser Lasik, CK, and Intacs provide clarity almost immediately after surgery while PRK, LASEK, and Epi-Lasik may take a few days to weeks.

It is not unusual for the immediate post-operative presence of complications such as ghosts, arcs, starbursts, halos, regular and irregular astigmatism, and other potential problems that can significantly reduce clarity from a short period of time to permanently. Usually these symptoms dissipate with healing over a period of weeks or months, however additional treatment may be necessary if such problems occur.

Hope this helps. Best wishes.

The recovery time for LASIK varies for each individual patient. There are multiple components of the recovery process to consider including the time to return to your normal activities, the activity restrictions, and the visual recovery process.

The visual recovery process can be very fast. Some patients notice their vision immediately improved right after the procedure is performed. Other patients may need a few hours or a few days before their vision is the sharpest. Generally, by the next morning, you should feel comfortable to drive in for your first day postoperative appointment.

You can return to most of your normal activities by the next day after the surgery. Activity restrictions may vary. At the San Diego LASIK Institute, we recommend avoiding swimming in pools and the ocean for two weeks. For the first week, we recommend avoiding streneous activity.

You can return to most of your normal activities such as watching TV, driving, using the computer, etc by the day after your surgery.

Your creative mind is your ticket to greatnesss.

If you are thinking about having Lasik eye surgery, read this article just issued by the FDA. They sent a letter to doctors requesting that they tell patients about risks associated with Lasik eye surgery after receiving numerous complaints from consumers who experienced double and fuzzy vision and painful dry eyes after getting the procedure.
