PROs Inkjet printers are relatively quieter compared to Dot Matrix Printers in terms of printing operations. Unlike Laser and Thermal Wax Printers, it doesn’t have warm up times and initially cost less. It offers fine prints and is capable of printing in different colors. It is perfect for high resolution photo or image printing. It is most popular for home use due to the scalability of use.
CONs Cost-wise, inkjet printing is an impractical choice due to the regular replacement of the expensive ink cartridges. However, it is ideal for home printing jobs that would range from light to medium use.
Laser Printer It is a non impact printer that produces highly detailed texts and graphics onto a paper using laser and toner as a medium.
PROs It has lower per page cost compared to Inkjet Printers, making it an ideal printer for business or home printing needs that would range from medium to heavy printing jobs. In terms of operation, it is relatively faster compared to Inkjet and Dot Matrix Printers.
CONs The initial cost of a laser printer is expensive. And even though it produces crisp texts and images, its quality in photo printing is poor in contrast with that of an Inkjet printer.
