It's not in their interest. Somewhere, somehow, "someone" is being paid to "look the other way". Someone is getting paid somehow... whether with untraceable cash, favors, perks, or anything else that has value. I greatly respected the media back in the Watergate era where journalists were serious about reporting THE TRUTH. There are too many special interest groups masquerading as reporters these days. Absolute power corrupts absolutely!
