Landlord took my personal possessions after I was evicted

An Order of Eviction was given to me for non-payment some of my personal possessions was lift in my rental then place on the curb by the sheriff. Neighbors seen the landlord putting my personal possessions in his car, can I get them back? Thanks Mad in Michigan

I think the landlord take some of your personal things as payment for the time span you haven't payed your rent but that's not ethical to begin with so make or find a way for you to make the owner return your things.
