Yes, if you limp or walk funny. A gait that is not normal will play havoc with the hips and the back.

When you walk with a knee injury you tend to favor one leg in order to ease the pressure on your knee. This throws your body weight off center and puts additional strain on your back to maintain balance. This strain causes eventual back problems.
