The Code of Ethics of the American Association of Medical Assistants sets forth principles of ethical and moral conduct as they relate to the medical profession. Performing within the ethical and legal boundries means just that, acting within the limits set forth by the code.
The Bottom line means that the person would render service with ful respect for the dignity of humanity, respect confidential information, uphold the honor and high principles of the profession and accept its disciplines, continually improve the knowledge and skills of medical assistants, and participate in additional service activities aimed toward improving the health and well-being of the community.
By following those guidelines you would be performing within the ethical and legal boundries that the AAMA has set forth.
