I agree there is nothing like a beginners knife. It's all about getting used to the knife with constant practice. But there are certainly a few things that you can take into consideration before

buying kitchen knives. The most important factor being the feel of the knife. Take it in your hands and see how it feels. Does it feel good? Do you feel the balance? If yes, then probably that is what you should be starting out with.. Never go for something that is too heavy or too light..
