King size bed in a queen size room

smaller then i thought bedroom when i bought a king size bed...now no storage...bed too high so putting it on the floor so losing the under the bed space...need to build or buy a headboard i can mount on the wall since no frame will be used? storage solutions?

Alexis, you really don't need a head board at all. Just get some nice big throw pillows that match the colors of your comforter, and lay them against the wall. I have even seen some bedrooms with pretty fabric sheeting hanging on the wall right above the bed. Go to one of the bedding stores in your area for ideas. I am not sure what to tell you about storage. What do you usually store under your bed? I don't store anything under mine. Maybe get some type of hope chest, wicker chest, something with a close down lid that you can put at the foot of your bed. You can leave extra blankets laying on top of the chest. Happy decorating!
