Kindergarten Readiness

school district: How does school district #4 determine which children are ready for kindergarten and which are not? Especially those children who have already graduated from preschool but were born after the September 1st deadline? Is there some sort of test they can take? I know you have it for preschool, but I can't find one for kindergarten.

You should post your location in order to get an answer to this. School districts are different. Ours will NOT accept anyone for kindergarten unless they are five by September 1. No exceptions, although there are in the private schools.
