The link eniv4 gave is great. I haven't done the climb either but from friends who have I've heard that in general it's not a technical climb meaning it doesn't require extensive knowledge in rope handling. You basically trek all the way to the summit.
The difficulty starts when you get to the high altitudes where oxygen is scarce. There you need to be careful and listen to your body. There are clear guidelines regarding when a person should decent because of mountain sickness. I suggest you learn them carefully to prevent accidents from happening.
I'm sure you'll have a great time. This trip is a combination of endurance, testing your limits while enjoying tremendous scenery on the way.
Have fun.
