Kidney stones

A couple of days ago I suffered from a stone in my urine system. I understood that it evolved since I wasn't drinking at all for a long time.I was wondering if there are certain liquids or foods that you eat and can cause/encourage the development of stones in kidneys?

if you really want to have kidney stones you need to:

  • have excess levels of vitamin D
  • eat a lot of meat
  • taking certain medicines such as diuretics (water tablets), antacids and thyroid medications
  • eating a diet high in protein
  • being regularly dehydrated

I would add to eltons remarks that poor mobility will also contribute to the development of kidney stones . Exercise and drink a lot.

You really think I want them , I was thinking more of how to avoid them by not eating the foods that cause it. Thanks
