Kennedy Not So Pure

Unfortunately Cal Thomas Teddy Kennedy was supposed to, according to liberals, this beacon on a hill but he never was held accountable for his dubious behavior. Not withstanding Jo Anne Kopecnik, his "off the field" behavior many times was despicable if not criminal. This was a man that for 40 years took the high moral ground every time he was questioned about his behavior or in his pursuit of his poliical agenda. Are we all perfect no. But when ordinary citizens who are not famous, who do wrong, are they given the benefit of the doubt as in Mr. kennedy's cases. No we are not. So if Mr. Kennedy was not a part of a famous rich family do you think he would get away with his despicable behavior. Probably not. And he probablty relied on that fact. He was rich, famous and  lacking of a moral  high ground (although in words he espoused it) that most God fearing Americans abide.

Thank you

Jim Fitzpatrick

The lowest servant in Heaven is still in Heaven.

Whoever rules in hell is still in hell, but they won't rule for long.

Ted Kennedy was a stain on the Catholic Church and a blot on American politics.

The sad fact is that Joseph Kennedy was a gangster in Boston, bootlegging liquor during Prohibition.  He managed to whitewash that part of his shady past, but those illicit revenues bought him all the clout he needed to further corrupt and exploit a severely ailing Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

Other of Joseph's shady dealings were a "leverage buyout" of Bethlehem Steel, and a number of hostile takeovers of legitimate businesses on behalf of the Irish Mob.  Joseph knew how to conceal material fact directly under the nose of the IRS and FBI.

The Kennedy Family have never cleared themselves of these unsavory connections and illegal hostile takeovers.  This is the dirtiest variety of corruption-based politics.

That corruption never once left any member of the Kennedy Family.  The reason they thought that they were above the law -- particularly Attorney General Robert Kennedy -- was that they knew how to keep a corrupt police department paid off.  Even so, Robert Kennedy declared war on labor unions.  These criminals carried that lack of morals and ethics into everything that they ever did.

If Ted Kennedy acted as though the law could not touch him, thank his gangster father and his family's mob connections.

You don't know what you're talking about.  I can tell by your spelling you've relied on gossip not research.  Yes, I think Ted was treated easily by the law.  Remember Ted's 2  brothers were killed by the CIA, an "independent agency of the United States."  I also believe they should have performed an autopsy on Mary Jo Kopechne.

The following theory sounds reasonable, something you probably never heard before.  Mary Jo Kopechne got drunk and went out to lay down in Kennedy's car.  She passed out in the back seat.  Soon after, Ted and another woman from the party got into the car.  They soon noticed a cop car behind them.  Ted was drunk.  He darted off the road onto a dirt one and accidentally drove off the dangerous Chappaquiddick bridge.  He and the young woman got out with their lives.

The next morning Ted appeared in the dining room of the inn where he was staying.  An elderly couple saw him and exchanged conversation with him.  He walked away from them but they were still watching him when 2 men came in and told Ted something that made him turn white with shock.

Someone had seen the car under the water and called the cops.  They found Mary Jo Kopechne dead in the car.  They also retrieved a pocketbook.  It belonged to the other woman Ted was with.

He did not kill Mary Jo.  It was an accident.  Does that sound reasonable?
