If your other half kept telling you (without any influence, whatsoever) he would do something for the sake of both of you and didn't keep his word, how would that make you feel?
Is there any way TO get him to keep his word to you???
Unfortunately I don't think there is a way to force someone to keep his word, you can just let him know how it makes you feel, and hope that he respects and cares about you enough to change his ways. Be open and honest and let him know that it really hurts you when he does not keep his word. Show him that all you are doing is trying to make the relationship work and see if he agrees. Good luck!

hmm. i always tell my husband: don't say it if you don't mean it. otherwise, i will never believe what he says because he never follows through with what he says. that goes for ultimatums: if you tell me you want to leave, THEN LEAVE. don't say it if you don't mean it.
