Why wouldn't she stay on the show?  She is managing to film movies and do one of America's most popular shows, all at the same time.  It's an incredible show, and I think that the show would suffer without her.

Considering she is having sex with her dead fiance right now, I think they are preparing for her exit from the show with a nervous breakdown.  I think she does much better in her movie roles anyway.  She has taken Izzie as far as she can go and now she needs to move on as an actress.
