What you think about you bring about!!!

A:

Sorry, but I just CAN"T understand why you ladies are willing to shell out all this money on skincare products!!  I am a retired makeup artist and am always amazed at the cost of these things.........SKINCARE DOES NOT HAVE TO COST A FORTUNE!.........

I'm not saying they don't work, but why spend all that money??? if you have basic good health, and a few lines, etc., why not try the good old standbys?

I know you don't want to hear this, but $140 ( cost of the Jacobs product you mentioned; I looked it up!!) would buy an awful lot of good, gentle cleansing skincare products, along with some home-made exfoliants (if you don't exfoliate, no creme in the world will help reduce the APPEARANCE of wrinkles!!) and even facial toners, if you believe in them, which I don't, and by the way, Witch Hazel, and the drugstore brand, is just about the safest thing to use instead of OVERPRICED toners!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, I could go on and on, but I IMPLORE you to please take a good look at your face in the mirror; are the lines/wrinkles really THAT bad?? do you use a sunscreen on your face every day? that's the best 'insurance' against future aging.......

Anyway, I've had my ' rant' but I'll be glad to recommend some good, solid, down to earth products (and no, I do not sell anything!!) based on my experience..

I bet none of you ladies will take me up on this, right?

I hope you prove me wrong, as I"m always glad to help with this type of thing!!!!!!!!

In the meantime, take that $140 and put it into a CD!!!!!!!!! at least you'll have some interest in a few months/years!!!!!!!!!!

Again, anyone want to take me up on what I can recommend? It ain't glamorous or expensive, and it works...............

Green Girl

definitely make your recommendations! I would LOVE to hear them. I remember back in the 70s my mother was a lab tech and they did testing on Oil of Olay or Ponds vs some other creme that cost 10x the amount and the cheap drugstore creme was more pure... Anyhow, technology really has come a LONG way since then so I do believe there are things out there that are better these days - but don't want to spend a fortune so please, please do share your knowledge!
