Randy: "What's up, dawg?"

Simon: "I'm not being rude... but will you shut up?"

Paula: "You're so mean, Simon."

July 7 2007

What's the most proper way to abbreviate July 7 2007?  (I've seen 07/07/07, 7.7.07, 7/7/2007, etc...)

All our proper! It depends on what you prefer.

The second option --  7.7.07 -- is what I'd use because it's a bit awkward to use zeroes in front of single-digit days or months.

What a great date!  I would definitely say 7/7/07 is the most popular... however you could also say 07/07/07 if you want to have some consistency.  Usually on applications or when being typed into a computer, each section of the date needs to take up 2 places, so the 07 would be better than simply writing 7.  Whatever you choose, it'll be great... because 7 is really a wonderful number!

72 thumbs up

I think it should be agreed upon that the number of the year should be represented by one digit, till we get to 2010. You think that in 7 A.D. The people wrote 07 A.D.? It makes much more sense to write 7, and then we can abbreviate July 7 2007 as 7.7.7.
