Joint filing after a spouse dies

My husband passed away in 2007. Someone said I could file married, filing joint for 3 years after his death. Is this true?

You can only file Taxes joint for the year he died after that you have to file under the single status.

You can only filed married for the year that he passed away in other words for only 1 year. Been through that one myself. Sorry for your loss.
