Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?
I did not serve in the military, therefore I have no right to judge if John McCain broke the military Code of Conduct. What I did want to add are two opposing views, and let you decide.

An interesting read in this context is a report written by his father Admiral McCain, on the Code of Conduct and how it should be viewed in comparison to what POWs actually experienced during the Vietnam War.It is called "The Code of Conduct and the Vietnam War," by John S McCain Jr., Commander United States Navy.
